GYNECA, established in 2022, is the country's only undergraduate journal solely dedicated to educating on issues related to women’s as well as gender minorities' healthcare and gynecological health. This semesterly intercollegiate journal has set the pace for the health advocacy and education sectors. It is an outlet that offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to engage in peer-reviewed research, exploring innovative and impactful topics in the areas of gynecology and gender-minority healthcare. The journal has focused on publishing original research and staff-written editorials based on originality, relevance across disciplines, and accessibility, underlining a commitment to producing knowledge that promotes widespread positive change.
Beyond its scholarly contributions, GYNECA is actively engaged with the community through an impressive array of events and workshops aimed at educating, advocating, and inspiring action. These initiatives showcase the journal's commitment to educating about healthcare issues and encourage individuals to become active participants in promoting their own health as well as the health of their community. Through the years, very few journals have worked on the empowerment of women and other gender minorities. GYNECA has held the torch in raising awareness about topics that are often still stigmatized in our societies.
